CAREERS AT NETRIS

Shape the AI buildout

Join the team shaping the networking foundation behind the world's most demanding AI clouds.

Network Architect (Datacenter & EVPN/VXLAN)

About Netris

Netris is the leading network automation platform for AI clouds. AI is the largest infrastructure buildout in history, and networking is its bottleneck. Netris is the automation and multi-tenancy layer for AI cloud networking, enabling operators to launch GPU clouds in weeks, provision tenants instantly, and maximize GPU utilization. The company experienced 800% ARR growth in the last 12 months, with 35+ live GPU cluster deployments globally and growing, and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz. SDN reinvented data center networking, and Netris is doing it for the AI cloud with NAAM: Network Automation, Abstraction, and Multi-Tenancy.engineering team solving complex distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure automation challenges with direct impact on large-scale AI infrastructure deployments worldwide.

About the role

We are looking for a strong Network Engineer / Architect with deep hands-on expertise in modern datacenter networking. This role is for someone who designs, builds, automates, and debugs complex EVPN/VXLAN fabrics down to packet level, not just configures them.

You will work on high-performance, Linux-based networking stacks and next-generation datacenter architectures, with a strong focus on correctness, scalability, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and evolve EVPN/VXLAN datacenter fabrics (L2/L3, symmetric/asymmetric IRB, multi-VRF, multi-tenant).
  • Perform deep troubleshooting across control plane and data plane (BGP EVPN, VXLAN, Linux kernel networking, ASIC behavior).
  • Architect and validate high-scale datacenter network designs.
  • Linux networking stack(iproute2, netlink, nftables/iptables, bridges, VRFs)
  • Configure and operate networking platforms based on:
  • Cumulus Linux
  • Linux networking stack (iproute2, netlink, nftables/iptables, bridges, VRFs)
  • Work with BGP (R&S and DC) at expert level (EVPN, route-targets, policy, scale considerations)
  • Collaborate with engineering, automation, and operations teams to build reliable and repeatable network solutions.
  • Review designs and configurations with a strong emphasis on accuracy, determinism, and failure handling

What We’re Looking For

  • CCIE Routing & Switching and/or CCIE Data Center level knowledge (certification optional, skills mandatory) OR strong hands-on experience with Cumulus Linux
  • Proven experience designing and operating EVPN/VXLAN datacenter fabrics in production.
  • Excellent Linux networking knowledge, including kernel behavior and packet flow.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues using tools such as:
    • tcpdump, dropwatch, perf, bpftool
  • FRR/other routing stacks
  • Solid understanding of datacenter hardware and ASIC-based switching.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with network automation and orchestration (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, custom
    tooling).
  • Experience working with GPU/AI or high-throughput datacenter environments.

Compensation, benefits, logistics

  • Competitive Salary + Stock options
  • Medical insurance, Vision insurance, Dental insurance, 401(k), Disability insurance, flexible PTO
  • This is a hybrid role. We have an established engineering presence in the United States, Armenia, Taiwan, India, and Australia, and these are our preferred locations. We are also open to exceptional candidates in other locations.
