The role

We are looking for a strong Network Architect with deep hands-on expertise in modern datacenter networking. This role is for someone who designs, builds, automates and debugs complex EVPN/VXLAN fabrics down to the packet level, not just configures them.
You will work on high-performance, Linux-based networking stacks and next-generation datacenter architectures, with a strong focus on correctness, scalability and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement and evolve EVPN/VXLAN datacenter fabrics (L2/L3, symmetric/asymmetric IRB, multi-VRF, multi-tenant)
  • Translate network requirements into clear specifications and precise Arista EOS and SONiC configuration blueprints
  • Configure and operate networking platforms based on Arista EOS and SONiC, including the Linux networking stack (iproute2, netlink, nftables/iptables, bridges, VRFs)
  • Perform deep troubleshooting across the control plane and data plane (BGP EVPN, VXLAN, Linux kernel networking, ASIC behavior)
  • Work with BGP at expert level in both the underlay and overlay (EVPN, route targets, policy, scale considerations)
  • Architect and validate high-scale datacenter network designs, including lossless fabrics for AI/ML workloads
  • Collaborate with engineering, automation and operations teams to build reliable, repeatable network solutions
  • Review designs and configurations with a strong emphasis on accuracy, determinism and failure handling

What we’re looking for

  • Core networking protocols: L3 routing and L2 switching
  • EVPN/VXLAN spine-leaf architectures, with MP-BGP in the underlay and the overlay
  • Hands-on experience with Arista EOS and/or SONiC
  • Ability to translate network requirements into clear specifications and precise Arista EOS or Broadcom SONiC configuration blueprints
  • Knowledge of Arista EOS architecture and/or SONiC architecture and microservices
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, including Arista EOS and/or SONiC troubleshooting tools (Linux shell, tcpdump, Docker, sonic-cli, redis-cli)

Preferred qualifications

  • Lossless network architecture: low-latency AI/ML and storage workloads over RoCEv2 (PFC, ECN, DCQCN)
  • Dynamic and adaptive routing
  • Familiarity with switch silicon architecture, preferably Broadcom: how the FIB is programmed in hardware, TCAMs and packet buffer pools
